Creating a literate community

The Summer Reading Program offers children, teens, and adults the opportunity to participate in numerous activities that encourage reading and life-long learning. More than 5,500 children, teens, and adults participate every year. According to national research, children must continue reading during the summer or they are at risk of losing up to 50–67% of their reading skills over time. Your support will close this devastating gap for Deschutes County children.
